Sandford Artisan Sourdough Bakery Oxford

This is by far the best bread I have bought in Oxford. You can see Robert has put a lot of effort into coming up with a delicious recipe! Speaking of which, Robert goes beyond and above when it comes to customer service. This has now become my go to place for fresh, delicious AND affordable bread. His brownies were to die for too! I can't recommend him enough :)

Robert is an artisan baker, so making top quality bread comes naturally! He is also innovative - his sourdough is a mild flavour, soft and large on volume so adapts well to sandwiches. He supports local flour miller and sells to locals too like the village shop, Restore, the mind charity and Oxford University kitchens. Also He like to Helping local community when he can too.

If anyone deserves the title master baker it is Robert. His authentic sourdough bread is the real deal: full of flavour, texture and aroma. If you ever get a chance to speak to him about his baking you will see he is a scientist, artist and alchemist all in one - this is a real passion for him and you can see the love and skill manifested in the end product.

We have been using Sandford Artisan Sourdough Bakery for nearly 2 years. During that time, Rob, the owner and Master Baker has come up with new and innovative products. He is willing to produce and supply custom made items as well as his standard offerings. His products are of high quality and well liked by our customers. Made locally for the local community!

The baking is delicious, but Robert also goes the extra mile to give something special! My mum sent me a care package through him during lockdown for my birthday and Robert made a personalised Happy Birthday note on top of the cake. Everything was beautiful and delicious.

Where do I begin? First off, no hidden ingredients in this bread. Just flour, yeast, water, and salt. Secondly, there is not a single loaf I can fault, every flavour from plain to the Rosemary flat loaf is just spectacular. I always look forward to getting my sandford breads every time I visit the area! (which is never enough!).

Had a lovely sourdough bread, cinnamon bun wreath, and chocolate brownies as a gift. They were delivered along with friendly advice on how to cook each of them. Really affable service, and delicious products.

The best sourdough I have ever eaten, full of flavour and absolutely delicious and high quality. I have tried his brownies as well and they were also amazing. You can't get better than this in Oxford

I live in Canada but wanted to order something special for my daughter in Oxford. Robert was very prompt to reply (even though my request was very late at night in the UK) and helpful in making the order work. He went above and beyond what I would have expected. I hear it was also delicious!

Beautifully made and presented breads and bakes. A real treat and a genuine artisan style small business. Invaluable during the pandemic. Only wish there was also a cafe or coffee shop so one could linger and enjoy the aromas of baking as well.

The bread made at this bakery is delicious! Specifically the olive loaves are so tasty that I think about them often, despite not living in area to be able to pick any up.
